Abstract :
This paper presents the analysis of slot coupled cavity for wide band band-stop filter applications. The bandstop filter structure consists of a rectangular cavity fed by a coupling slot milled at the broad wall of a rectangular waveguide. The structure has been analyzed using Multiple Cavity Modeling Technique (MCMT). The analysis has been validated by the excellent agreement obtained between the MCMT data, Ansoft HFSS simulated data and experimental data for a first order filter. Later the structure has been applied for a fourth order band-stop filter to demonstrate its wide band characteristic.
