  • Abstract
Synthesis strontium titanate (SrTiO3)/ polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) composite particles and the effect of organical montmorillonite (O-MMT) modification on electrorheological properties of PMMA/SrTiO3 composite particles were investigated. The formation and their morphological structures of SrTiO3/PMMA composite particles were confirmed by FT-IR and SEM. The composite particles and O-MMT modified SrTiO3/PMMA as two kinds of ER materials were dispersed into castor oil respectively. Electrorheological experiment revealed that O-MMT modified SrTiO3/PMMA possessed strong ER effect. Experimental results were explained by electrical properties and the microstructure of O-MMT and composite particles.
