  • Abstract
    This paper presents a software component that can be used for diverse networked based applications, such as data acquisition, remote control, and sensor network monitoring. Being built on the basis of object-oriented design, this component can cope with different communication protocols and be easily to extended to multi-platform environment. An implementation of communication through TCP/UDP socket connection is illustrated. Applications of this software component to networked control system simulation on Matlab platform, real-time system control using xPC Target, and monitoring wireless sensor networks are demonstrated, it is shown that this software component provides a convenient way for the development of networked based applications.
