  • Abstract
    This paper provides an overview of the electromagnetics, signal processing, imaging and calibration for MeerKAT, the South African SKA precusor array currently under construction in the central Karoo, in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. The role of MeerKAT in SKA Phase 1 is addressed.
