Abstract :
This paper describes a method to estimate of L-band interference levels coupled to coaxial cables immersed in an electromagnetic environment. To present the above mentioned method, the modeling strategy, briefly including the main theoretical aspects, the interpretation of the results and the use an electromagnetic simulation tool for this particular problem are specified in detail. The characterization of coaxial cables is also described in order to quantify its parameters. The results of the implemented measurements are also shown with the purpose of validating the method, comparing the measured with the estimated values.
