Abstract
A model describing the input/output properties of the electrically stimulated knee joint of a paraplegic subject is described. Both a nonlinear block describing the relationship between pulse width and isometric force and a linear block defining the muscle dynamics are modeled. After the nonlinearity is linearized, a DARMA model is used to model the system. Three criteria are used in choosing the optimal model orders and delay
