Abstract :
This paper presents an approach based on differential evolution (DE) for the design of thin film filters. Four projects of thin film filters are evaluated and the results are compared with particle swarm optimization (PSO). The results obtained show that DE can be a viable technique on the design of this kind of optical filters.
