Abstract :
The Ulysses II CAD framework executes a design methodology programmed in the graphical scripts language using data-entry forms and syntax-directed editing. Graphical programming eliminates the need to memorize language syntax and speeds methodology entry. The language has an intelligent error handling system that facilitates methodology debugging. The language encapsulates tools, manipulates CAD data, schedules tools, balances network loads, and maintains data consistency. Ulysses II was used to produce several designs including a 64-bit ALU
