Abstract :
We proposed frequency-modulated VCSELs for high-speed modulation beyond 100 GHz and presented the modeling including the intensity modulation associated with frequency modulation. We also experimentally demonstrated the bandwidth enhancement of directly-frequency-modulated 1060 nm VCSELs using optical filtering.
