Abstract :
The formation mechanism and dynamics features of the debris flow were analyzed based on the survey of a debris flow site in East Channel of Yuanfang in Pingshan County. This paper adopted rain-flood modifying and mud trace investigation methods of making the known rainstorm characteristic values under different design frequencies to translate into responding flood peak value flux. This method educed some characteristic values about debris flow peak value flux, including the gross amount of transporting sand etc. In addition, the occurring frequencies analysis of debris flow was valuated on engineering projects. According to movement feature, this debris flow break out at 50 years return period, and the scale of this debris flow is medium, and its development trend has been accelerated. Meanwhile, engineering and biological measures should be combined on the prevention of debris flow.
