Abstract :
The paper proposes an antenna circularly polarized on a 1737F Corning glass of 2 inches square that is rarely used in microwave applications. This kind of substrate presents many advantages in microelectronics. The studied antenna operates at 5.8 GHz; this frequency is for the new microwave wireless systems such as automotive and WLAN. The main difficulty with the use of this material substrate is to avoid via holes in the antenna design for cost reasons in the industrial production process. From the EM simulation, the antenna is realized and measured. The influence of the protection cover layer made of silicon oxide deposited on the metal aluminum layer is also performed.
