Abstract :
An array antenna consisting of short-tapered slot antennas that are placed parallel to a metallic palate is proposed. The antenna utilizes chokes to suppress mutual coupling since currents on the ground plane concentrate around the taper edge. Antenna characteristics are examined through FDTD analysis and experiments.
