Abstract :
The relationships between the SLL, the number of active elements and the number of available elements for uniformly-excited linear thinned arrays are investigated. These relationships are found to be logarithmic for both the symmetrical and asymmetrical cases. The relevant equations are provided to allow estimation of the SLL and filling factor for a specified number of available elements.
