Abstract
This paper presents a theoretical analysis of modified bowtie nanoantennas for near-field optical probe applications. The proposed antennas possess sides with polynomial shape. Four antennas with different polynomial order were numerically analyzed by Method of Moments (MoM), where the near field distributions, spectral response and resonances were calculated The obtained results present better field enhancement and confinement than the conventional bowtie nanoantenna.
