Abstract
This paper presents a water pumping system using a self excited induction generator driven by wind turbine and supplying an induction motor which is coupled to a centrifugal pump. In the first part a MPPT algorithm to extract the maximum power rated by a wind turbine is presented, which uses a frequency controller to give an optimal rotor speed. The simulation testing results were presented and compared with the experimentally tests.
