            Abstract :
Ordinary congestion control methods based on queueing models are not suitable for the bufferless optical burst switching (OBS) networks. This paper designs a novel heuristic congestion control scheme in order to achieve desired QoS for optical burst flows through the adjustment of burst assembly intervals. Our method is simple and easy to implement. The simulation results demonstrate that our system can maintain a stable network throughput
