Abstract
An analytical performance evaluation of a double token-ring LAN (local area network) at the LLC (logical link control) layer is given. In particular the throughput/delay characteristic of DAFNE (Deterministic Access Fiber Network), a double token-ring optical-fiber LAN, is illustrated. A queuing model of a connection between two end users at remote stations is given, other users and flow control are taken into account
