Abstract
A procedure is presented that permits a node to move and then reallocate itself a transmission slot without involving the entire network. In the procedure the channel over which control packets are exchanged is shared and unreliable. Therefore, the resulting TDMA (time division multiple access) schedule may not be collision free. A collision resolution algorithm is presented to correct these problems. A procedure by which nodes can allocate themselves additional transmission slots, if they are available, and which maximizes bandwidth utilization is given
