Abstract :
The development of erythrocyte aggregation in the blood, an important hemorheological phenomenon, is investigated. The influence of erythrocyte aggregates on the flow dynamics of blood is pronounced in the microcirculation, especially in pathological situations. In myocardial infarction (MI), the varied plasma components affect the aggregation kinetics of erythrocytes. The erythrocyte aggregation is analyzed by the variation in the laser scattered intensity during the onset, development, and sedimentation of aggregates. It is shown that in MI the increased levels of plasma proteins, fibrinogen, and globulins enhance the erythrocyte aggregation. The higher the aggregate formation, the greater the degree of complications. It is evident that the increased plasma contents shortened the onset of the aggregation time and completion time and increased all the other kinetic parameters
