Abstract :
The configuration of the Beijing Lightning NETwork (BLNET) has been described in detail and a location algorithm based on Chan algorithm and Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm has been proposed. Using the data from multi-station fast antenna, we give the preliminary location results of a local thunderstorm. The comparison of the location results with the corresponding radar data shows a good agreement between them, which indicates a good performance of the BLNET.
