Abstract :
The successful acquisition of future adaptive radars is likely to require significant changes to procurement methodology. In particular, it is likely that the specification and measurement of performance will require the extensive use of modelling and simulation, at least partly replacing conventional trials measurements. This change in approach will also benefit from detailed and early technical involvement by the customer and user to ensure that their operational requirements are met and that performance provided by the radar is fully understood
