Abstract :
We present a new method to estimate the local regularities, measured in term of Holder exponents, at different resolutions of continuous signals. This method is based on a generalization of the iterated functions system and seems well adapted to signals that present irregularities at all scales. We also utilize this generalization to build parsimonious models of complex signals, using the information given by the Holder exponents hence computed
