Abstract :
This paper puts forward the investigation result of the air electrostatic discharge through experimental method. The time-domain waveform of the discharge current and coupling voltage are measured at different transient discharge voltages. By analyzing the data of the parameters, the correlation between the peak value of discharge current and the rising time is summarized. The analysis also shows that the peak value of discharge current and the discharge voltage influence the coupling voltage in a small loop. These conclusions are conducive to further understanding of the principle of ESD, which provide experimental and theoretical basis for ESD damage mechanism towards the electronic devices and equipment.
