Abstract :
The recent expansion of AVM in terms of locals and user types is summarized. The common characteristics of many of these systems are identified and examined in terms of their applicability of Multi-User sharing of common hardware/software. Primary examples used in this analysis are four currently operational AVM systems produced by the author´s company. Emphasis is placed on Multi-User sharing of a common location subsystem, and the fact that such a subsystem must be extremely simple and useable anywhere, at least in the United States.
