Abstract :
This document shows the present state of overhead power distribution lines from the viewpoint of lightning protection and proposes the better lightning protection measures for them. Based upon detailed analysis of lightning damage aspects of Japanese overhead power distribution lines, the authors proposed the mitigation methods, which is thought to meet risk management of OPDLs.
