  • Abstract
This Study analyzes the cases of the U.S. and U.K., Wikipedia, and as well as domestic environment from the perspective of formulating a nation-wide data linking system for Korea. Based on this analysis, a linkage platform for public sector data, named “National DBPedia” is designed and implemented utilizing open platform and LOD (Linked Open Data). In addition a foundation for governance including LOD-based metadata basic design and registration method and operations is also designed. In addition, actual public and private sector data are applied in the actual field for a proof-of-concept. On the basis of this study, By expanding public and private sector data linkages, the research provides the cornerstone for building a public sector “wikipedia” for Korea.
