  • Abstract
Full and thorough distributed automation control sited in fields is implemented for a large enterprise of heat-supply by grate chain boilers with Foundation Fieldbus technology. The main content for the design of the system includes the control plan for the key parameters of the system etc..The control of water level and combustion sub-system are realized. Gradient method is adopted in the searching for the optimum value of air-fuel ratio. The whole control architecture is constructed based on foundation fieldbus network, intelligent instruments in field, Ethernet networks and upper-level supervisory and control computers. Operation practice of the engineering project shows good control and economic performance index. Significant economic benefit is achieved.
