Abstract :
Based on microwave network theory, new exact general formulas are derived to calculate the S-parameters of a single transition with any reflection. Using the formulas together with a proper smoothing technique, an accurate S-parameter model of a broadband CPW tapered transition is obtained. Accuracy of the model is verified from frequency 2 GHz to 94 GHz
