Abstract :
A simplified method for the design and analysis of a waveguide post filter suitable for quick computer aided design is presented. Accurate curve fit formulae for calculating the diameter of the post and embedded electrical length of the impedance inverter are given. Using the proposed equations a five section filter at X-band has been designed and tested. A comparison between measured and theoretical results is shown
