Abstract
A novel algorithm for electromagnetic inverse scattering of multiple perfectly conducting cylinders is presented. The main idea of the inversion algorithm is to cast the inverse problem into a restrained minimization problem and to solve the minimization problem by the real-coded genetic algorithm (RGA) for the first time. The performance is demonstrated by numerically reconstructing arbitrarily shaped objects
