Abstract
This paper explores the utility of a unified method for solving Maxwell´s equations. Two benchmark problems, waveguide mode analysis and three-dimensional wave propagation, are employed to demonstrate the present approach. Numerical results indicate that the unified method is very accurate for solving electromagnetic problems
