Abstract :
Link adaptive technology is an efficient way to improve the performance and resource utilization of wireless communication system. This paper introduces the basic principles and application of the technology and analyzes relative wireless channel models. It also studies several popular adaptive technologies at present, especially the adaptive modulation and coding technology, as well as their implementing schemes and algorithms. Then, combining with the applying standards, such as 3GPP, a performance analysis proves that the system with link adaptive technology could achieve larger throughput and better performance.
