  • Abstract
    In this work we study and analyze the awareness in collaborative learning environments based on wireless spontaneous networks. A spontaneous network is created when a group of students come together and uses wireless computing devices in order to carry-out a collaborative activity. The spontaneous networks arises some challenges that have received few attentions. These challenges make awareness a key aspect inside these networks types, due this we propose a framework called AWISPA (Awareness Wireless Spontaneous Framework), to support awareness. AWISPA provides a way to achieve knowledge for students that need it, when they are working in collaborative groups. AWISPA was implemented by mean of a specification about how integrate it in a learning collaborative architecture. Finally, AWISPA was successfully tested within collaborative learning environments with real people. We conclude that this work could be useful for collaborative applications interface designers based on spontaneous networks under collaborative learning applications
