  • Abstract
    The interaction and coupling analysis of the transient electromagnetic field with underground shelters is carried out. The complete analysis is divided into two parts. In the first part the transient field interaction analysis with the Earth is carried out to estimate the field at various depths for different electromagnetic properties of the soil. The software can also be used in calculating the resultant electromagnetic fields at different heights from the ground plane. The calculated electromagnetic field at a particular depth is used in the second part of the (shielding effectiveness) analysis, in which the induced transient voltage and current are calculated at the point of entries in the buried shelter
