Abstract :
It is noted that the education of engineers, and especially the education of electrical engineers, is markedly influenced by several factors, such as the rapid development of new technologies, industry-university interactions, and the structure of existing curricula. These factors are of utmost importance when educational programs and curricula are being developed, and their importance is rapidly increasing and will continue to doo so in the future. The author discusses some of these factors and points out some ways by which programs of engineering education can respond to these important issues
