Abstract :
Electromagnetic compatibility in today´s electronic world can be satisfactorily achieved only by meeting both emission and susceptibility requirements. Bharat Electronics, Bangalore is fully equipped with EMC test facilities conforming to MIL-STD-461C. While emission testing is fully automated from 30 Hz to 10 GHz, susceptibility testing is automated to a limited extent due to various implementation constraints. This paper describes the effort on automation of conducted susceptibility testing (CS04), the rejection of undesired signals, of simplex radio systems using GPIB control of signal generators and an audio analyzer through a general purpose PC-286. The software written in Turbo pascal is capable of being enhanced for performing other conducted susceptibility tests such as CS03 and CS05
