Abstract
This paper discusses several methods of reducing EMI in an electronic system, working in an electronically hostile environment, like the jute industry. Grounding, shielding and filtering techniques were employed to solve the EMI problems. The aspects of EMI reduction are considered from an EMC engineer´s point of view and were implemented on an on-line microprocessor based process controller
