Abstract :
Recently, UWB (Ultra Wide Band) signal that has frequency bandwidth of 500 MHz or more is considered to be using high precision radar because of a very high resolution. The UWB is considered to have fewer influences on human being because of low transmitting power. In this paper, sensor network made up of some UWB radar terminals to estimate distance and to detect human being existence is studied. Detection performances are evaluated from the computer simulation by using the real propagation measurement result with the network analyzer. The positioning accuracy of the human body and the effectiveness of the sensor network with UWB radar are shown.
