Abstract :
Radiated susceptibility tests of equipment require the use of a shielded enclosure, to avoid interference to the environment. Radiation inside this enclosure involves reflections and resonances which distort the field, rendering the tests unreliable. As most of the radiated pickup in equipment is in the associated interconnecting cables, bulk current injection of these cables has been proposed as a replacement test method. Analytical and laboratory tests are described, which highlight some limitations of this method
