Abstract
The rapid deployment of e-business systems has surprised even the most futuristic management thinkers. Unfortunately very little empirical research has documented the many variations of e-business solutions as major software vendors release complex IT products into the marketplace. Existing literature only reveals the occasional implementation issue or highlights various success factors. Instead, it seems reasonable to say that companies also expect information about implementation obstacles and how to overcome them. In this paper we use the survey data that we collected from various industries to determine the factors that lead to successful implementation of e-business systems. We also provide a graphic roadmap that would indicate when and where these success factors might appear and how a firm might manage the implementation process
