Abstract
Proliferation of electronic devices in the present era has entered into every aspect of life. The electronic ballast, a consumer product has earned a great significance in the domestic as well as in the industrial environment because of its low voltage operation, instant starting and to some extent energy saving capacity. The study of EMC measurement and the analysis reveals the emission problem and its effect due to RFI generated by electrical/electronic products. A typical case study on an electronic ballast for the analysis of the EMC effects is presented
