Solar lighting system

The province of Santiago del Estero is in the North West of Argentina, has a land area of 136,351square kilometers, and 800, 591 inhabitants −203, 382 of whom live in Scattered Rural Areas, and therefore isolated from energy distribution. The socio-economic level of many inhabitants is low and some live in thatched huts (see picture 1), there being around 27, 000 of such houses. All data mentioned herein correspond to the 2001 census and were provided by the General Board of Research, Statistics and Census of the Province.
