  • Abstract
    The authors present an open-loop hybrid algorithm, which combines the well-known power inversion algorithm and a gradient-based iterative algorithm. The hybrid algorithm is shown to perform better than the power inversion algorithm alone. Specifically, it is able to generate an optimal null width with a flat quiescent pattern and satisfactory edge of coverage gain over a 5% bandwidth. The comparisons are illustrated by computer simulations.<>
