  • Abstract
    Fish adapt swimming modes to changing environment, and display excellent performance. A Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Platform for bionic undulation swimming simulation is set up to explore the adaptability mechanisms. Furthermore, this paper proposes bio-inspired flow adaptability control method. The CFD-in-loop control system includes a flow adaptability controller, undulation motion generator, information virtual sensor, behavior adaptability rule base, and the CFD platform. Fish swimming mechanisms, swimming modes and control algorithm could be tested and analyzed on the system. In the end, an eel swimming simulation is implemented as validity check case, and the swimming performance with different swimming parameters is comparative analyzed.
