Abstract :
We considered a turbo coded DS-CDMA multilayer system equipped with a pilot canceler in mobile communications environment. The proposed system multiplexes data at different speeds using orthogonal codes. Besides, assigning 30% of a total transmission power to a pilot channel, stable synchronization and demodulation can be performed under a low Eb/No. The pilot canceler eliminates pilot channel in interference elements having simple construction. A turbo encoder/decoder has been improved to operate in the environment and has been equipped with a practical channel interleaver and deinterleaver with AGC. The results indicate that the proposed system is improved 2.0 to 4.6 dB larger coding gain at BER = 10-5 than a DS-CDMA multilayer system with Viterbi (1995) decoder
