Abstract
Mirror box therapy is one method for treating hemiplegia that occurs post-stroke, and it was developed by Ramachandran. However, in the case of mirror box therapy, an effect of the treatment decreases gradually because the mirror image has the same motion as the normal hand. Then, we propose a mirror box therapy support system. This paper presents a motion capture method for our proposed mirror box therapy support system. Such motion capture requires robust measurement, reasonable cost, and compact size. Therefore, we use and investigate a leap motion device for motion capture. The experiment shows good result.
