Abstract :
The leakage-based precoding (LBP) schemes have been widely studied in multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) downlink systems. In order to get a comprehensive understanding of the LBP schemes, we analyze the relationship between the LBP and the minimum mean square error (MMSE) precoding schemes. We also propose two enhanced leakage-based precoding (ELP) schemes with different water-filling (WF) methods in this paper. From our analysis and simulation results, we reveal the fact that the LBP schemes and the MMSE precoding schemes can achieve almost identical sum rate performance under the same power allocation (PA) method.
