Abstract :
The thesis that the culture of an organization can have such a strong impact on people´s behavior that it could affect the safe operation of the nuclear power plant is examined. The authors´ specific experience related to this topic is reported. ´Milepost marker´ actions which were used to cultivate management awareness of human performance issues are discussed.<>
