Abstract
This paper presents an effective inertial-sensor-based balance analysis system for the assessment of cognitive function of neuropsychological. We used six static balance tests and the sway speed of body´s center of mass (COM) projection path in the anterior-posterior (AP) and medial-lateral (ML) were used as the balance parameters for evaluation. A linear-regression model is developed to map the balance parameters onto cognitive function assessment. The result was applied on 41 participants in experiments. Results showed that the assessment of cognitive function of neuropsychological was promising in the diagnosis of patients that might have risk of AD.
