Abstract :
On the basis of rigorous solution of electromagnetic wave diffraction problem on the open-ended circular waveguide the radiation characteristics of the multimode waveguides excited both by dominant mode and by higher-order modes simultaneously are investigated. It is shown that such radiators allow forming non-symmetrical radiation pattern with dip in the normal direction to the waveguide aperture.
